Senior WordPress Developer

Location: Bahria Town Phase 6, Rawalpindi, Pakistan (Must be available during US business hours, 7pm - 4am)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented WordPress Developer to join our team at Arksbay Solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing WordPress-based websites and applications for our client projects. The ideal candidate is passionate about web development, has a strong understanding of WordPress ecosystems, and thrives in a collaborative setting focused on innovation and efficiency. This is a full-time position based in Islamabad, Pakistan.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and customize WordPress themes, plugins, and websites to meet project requirements.

Collaborate with designers and project managers to create user-friendly, responsive, and high-performance web solutions.

Optimize websites for speed, security, and SEO, implementing best practices for scalability and maintainability.

Troubleshoot and debug issues in existing WordPress sites, including those supporting our business development and consultancy services.

Integrate third-party services, APIs, and custom functionalities to enhance website features.

Conduct code reviews, maintain version control using Git, and ensure adherence to coding standards.

Stay updated on the latest WordPress trends, updates, and security protocols.

Assist in migrating legacy systems to modern WordPress environments and support client-facing web projects.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Up to 2 years of hands-on experience as a WordPress Developer, with a portfolio of custom themes and plugins.

Proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery; experience with React or Vue.js is a plus.

Strong knowledge of WordPress core, custom post types, taxonomies, and REST API.

Experience with database management (MySQL) and server-side technologies (e.g., Apache/Nginx).

Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and build tools (e.g., Gulp, Webpack).

Understanding of web security best practices, performance optimization, and accessibility standards (WCAG).

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and in a team, with strong communication skills in English.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to Rs120,000.00 per month
