The SEO & Answer Engine Specialist supports the Eaton organization globally, including content owners, marketers, web team and product management. This is a dynamic and interactive role that will work directly with the global SEO & Answer Engine team as well as individuals around the globe who require research, analysis and recommndations related to improving the performance of Eaton content in traditional search engines and AI based chat platforms.
"The responsibilities of the SEO & Answer Engine Specialist will include a variety of functions related to improving the search visibility of Eaton content in traditional search engines and in AI answer engines. The mission of the Eaton SEO/AEO team is ""to encourage sales growth and productive customer relationships by continuously improving the visibility and engagement of content on Eaton owned domains in all relevant internet search platforms.""
This role will work within a team of SEO/AEO specialists that support the global marketing organization. Responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to the following:
- Actively conduct SEO/AEO research, both upon request and proactively for segments and business groups. This includes levels of research ranging from keyword performance and analysis up to advanced topical analysis using both traditional and AI based tools and platforms.
- Work closely with various marketing roles to understand the motivations and behaviors of our digital customers and use this analysis to configure relevant topic strategies to continuously improve the performance of Eaton content in digital search channels.
- The specialist should have a good understanding of how technical considerations including page structure, load times, meta-data, links, Schema.org markup, can impact SEO/AEO performance.
- This role will support performance reporting on SEO/AEO performance. This requires a solid understanding of metrics and concepts related to impressions, clicks, search rank, CTR, brand visibility, AI topics, citations, and others.
- The specialist will utilize numerous tools to conduct research used for support of marketing segment and business groups. These may include but are not limited to Semrush, Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and the Microsoft Suite of office tools.
