SEO Expert Lead (E-commerce & Retail)

Job Overview

We are seeking a results-driven SEO Expert Lead to manage, optimize, and scale organic search performance across our portfolio of multi-brand retail and e-commerce websites. In this role, you will be responsible for driving high-intent organic traffic, improving keyword visibility, and maximizing Shopify store conversions. The ideal candidate must possess an advanced analytical mindset to translate organic search metrics directly into transactional e-commerce growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. On-Page Optimization & Content Management

  • Content Strategy Execution: Conduct comprehensive keyword research for homepages, collection categories, and product listings.
  • Blog Management: Content brief creation, keyword mapping, and regular publication of high-volume seasonal blog posts (e.g., managing 30+ trends/look-themed entries monthly).
  • Copywriting Collaboration: Maintain a shared content production pipeline, assigning targeted keywords to creative writers.
  • Multi-Site Maintenance: Audit, update, and fully optimize historical content across multiple operational domains.

2. Off-Page & Technical Link Building

  • Backlink Strategy: Scale and manage white-hat link acquisition strategies, generating high-quality backlinks per month per brand portfolio.
  • Authority Building: Focus continuous off-page efforts on driving up Domain Rating (DR) and URL Rating (UR) securely.

3. SEO Technical

  • Strong understanding of Technical SEO including Core Web Vitals (CWV), indexing, crawlability, and site architecture.
  • Hands-on experience with Google PageSpeed Insights, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, and technical error analysis/fixing.
  • Knowledge of resolving SEO issues such as broken links, redirects, canonical errors, schema issues, duplicate content, and mobile usability problems.

4. Analytics, Tracking & Reporting

  • Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor Google Search Console impressions, clicks, CTR, and average position tracking.
  • E-commerce Attribution: Track and correlate SEO efforts directly with Shopify organic sessions, conversion rates, and Average Order Value (AOV).
  • AI Engine Optimization (GEO): Analyze and optimize brand visibility within modern AI search experiences (e.g., Perplexity, ChatGPT, Gemini visibility indexes).
  • Routine Audits: Update rank-tracking documents every 10–15 days to pivot strategies rapidly according to algorithm shifts.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience: 2+ years of verifiable experience managing SEO for high-traffic Shopify stores or fashion/apparel retail businesses.
  • Core Tools Mastery: Deep operational knowledge of Ahrefs (Domain Rating/Backlink Profiles), Semrush (SEO Authority and Market Trends), and advanced Google Search Console filters.
  • Technical Savvy: Thorough understanding of e-commerce online store conversion funnels (from landing/collection pages to "Added to Cart" and checkout stages).
