Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and data-driven SEO Lead to own and execute our search engine optimization strategy. This role requires a mix of strategic thinking, technical SEO expertise, and content optimization knowledge to drive organic growth, improve search visibility, and maximize ROI across digital channels.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of SEO experience (with at least 2 years in a leadership role), deep expertise in on-page, off-page, and technical SEO, and proficiency in tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or Screaming Frog. Strong analytical skills, hands-on experience with CMS platforms, and the ability to adapt strategies to algorithm changes are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive SEO strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Conduct keyword research, competitor analysis, and market trend monitoring to identify growth opportunities.
  • Manage technical SEO audits, ensuring proper site architecture, indexing, crawling, schema, and site speed optimization.
  • Collaborate with content, marketing, and product teams to ensure SEO best practices are embedded in all initiatives.
  • Oversee link-building strategies and off-page SEO campaigns to strengthen domain authority.
  • Use analytics and SEO tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog) to measure performance, track KPIs, and report actionable insights.
  • Monitor algorithm updates and adjust strategy proactively to mitigate risks.
  • Guide junior SEO specialists, content writers, and external partners/agencies to deliver consistent results.
  • Work with web developers to implement technical recommendations and resolve SEO issues.
  • Own SEO reporting and communicate results, challenges, and opportunities to leadership.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, IT, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 5+ years of proven SEO experience with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of on-page, off-page, and technical SEO.
  • Proficiency with SEO and web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, Screaming Frog, etc.).
  • Demonstrated ability to increase organic traffic and improve rankings for high-value keywords.
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript fundamentals (bonus if hands-on).
  • Experience with CMS platforms (WordPress, Drupal, Shopify, etc.).
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and grow a team.
