Key responsibilities
- Keyword research: Identifying relevant and valuable search terms to target.
- On-page optimization: Optimizing meta tags, header tags, and content for search engines and user intent.
- Technical SEO: Performing technical audits, fixing website structure issues, and ensuring crawlability and site speed.
- Content strategy: Creating and updating content that is SEO-friendly and incorporates relevant keywords.
- Link building: Developing and implementing strategies to acquire quality backlinks.
- Performance analysis: Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) like traffic, rankings, and conversion rates, and reporting on performance.
- Algorithm monitoring: Staying up-to-date with the latest changes in search engine algorithms and best practices.
Required skills and qualifications
- Analytical skills: Ability to analyze data to understand performance and identify opportunities.
- Technical knowledge: Understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to help with website backend optimization.
- Content and marketing knowledge: Understanding how to write content that is both user-friendly and optimized for search engines.
- Strategic thinking: Ability to develop and implement long-term SEO strategies.
- Collaboration: Ability to work with other teams, such as content creators and developers, to implement SEO strategies.
