About Us

The Buildsmiths is a growing digital agency specializing in web development and SEO for clients across multiple industries. We're a lean, fast-moving team focused on delivering real results. As we scale our SEO operations, we're looking for a skilled and self-driven SEO Specialist to take full lead in our clients' SEO growth.

The Role

You'll be the engine behind our clients' organic growth. This is a hands-on role. We need someone who can think strategically and execute independently without needing to be micromanaged. You'll work directly with the founder and handle SEO end-to-end across multiple client websites.

What you'll do

• Build and manage local citations across directories
• Research, write, and publish optimized service pages and location pages
• Conduct keyword research and develop content strategies tailored to each client
• Perform on-page SEO audits and implement improvements (meta tags, schema markup, internal linking, page speed)
• Build quality backlinks through outreach, guest posting, and directory submissions
• Track rankings, traffic, and performance using tools like SEMrush & Google Search Console
• Prepare clear monthly reports summarizing progress and next steps
• Stay current with Google algorithm updates and adjust strategies accordingly

What we're looking for

• Minimum 1–2 years of hands-on SEO experience (agency experience preferred)
• Solid understanding of on-page, off-page, and technical SEO
• Experience with local SEO and citation building
• Comfortable working with WordPress or Elementor (adding/editing pages)
• Proficient with at least one SEO tool: SEMrush, Ahrefs, or Moz
• Strong written English for content briefs and client reports
• Ability to manage multiple clients simultaneously with minimal supervision
• Reliable internet connection and availability during agreed working hours

Nice to have

• Experience with Google Data Studio / Looker Studio for reporting
• Familiarity with schema markup and structured data
• Basic HTML/CSS knowledge
• Experience running link-building outreach campaigns
