SEO Specialist

The SEO Specialist owns the organic search visibility of both EBS brand websites. Their work ensures that when a potential client searches for an accountant, a marketing agency, or any related service, EBS appears prominently. This is a medium-to-long-term investment that, done correctly, becomes the most cost-efficient lead source in the entire marketing mix.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive keyword research for both brands — identifying high-intent, commercial, and informational keywords
  • Perform regular technical SEO audits using Screaming Frog and Google Search Console — fixing crawl errors, site speed, Core Web Vitals, and indexing issues
  • Develop and maintain an on-page SEO optimisation schedule — ensuring all pages, blog posts, and landing pages are fully optimised
  • Build and manage the link acquisition strategy — identifying opportunities for guest posts, digital PR, and directory listings
  • Brief the Content Writer on SEO-optimised blog topics, word counts, keyword targets, and internal linking structure
  • Track keyword rankings weekly and produce monthly ranking progress reports
  • Conduct competitor SEO analysis — understanding what the top-ranking competitors are doing and identifying gaps
  • Manage local SEO for both brands — Google Business Profile optimisation, local citations, and review strategy
  • Collaborate with the Web Developer to implement technical SEO improvements on the website
  • Monitor Google algorithm updates and adjust strategy proactively
  • Build topic clusters and pillar pages to establish topical authority in the accounting and digital marketing niches
