Position Summary:
The SEO Strategist will execute and refine Weidner’s portfolio-wide SEO initiatives to drive high-quality organic traffic, improve website performance, and strengthen the overall user experience. This role blends technical expertise, analytical insight, and creative strategy to optimize visibility across all Weidner digital properties. Reporting to the Marketing Operations Manager, the SEO Strategist works cross-functionally with the Marketing Operations team to maintain data integrity, implement SEO best practices, and ensure performance tracking accuracy. The position also collaborates closely with the Marketing, Operations, and Creative teams to align SEO programs with business goals, ensuring scalable, data-driven growth and continuous improvement in lead quality, conversion, and digital ROI.
Primary Responsibilities:

Develops and executes comprehensive SEO strategies that align with Weidner’s marketing and business objectives, focusing on driving qualified organic traffic, improving rankings, and increasing lead conversions

Conducts advanced keyword research, content gap analyses, and competitive benchmarking to inform optimization priorities, content planning, and search visibility improvements

Performs ongoing technical SEO audits, addressing site structure, crawlability, schema markup, page speed, redirects, and other elements affecting organic performance
- Coordinates with internal IT and vendor partners to resolve technical issues and maintain optimal site health

Collaborates with the Marketing Operations Manager to define SEO KPIs, develop strategic roadmaps, and measure results across all portfolio sites and platforms

Leads local SEO initiatives by managing and optimizing more than 300 Google Business Profiles and Apple Business Profiles, ensuring accuracy, engagement, and brand consistency across regions

Monitors and reports SEO performance metrics using Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, Conductor, and Looker Studio, identifying insights and opportunities for improvement

Builds, maintains, and refines standardized dashboards and reports that communicate SEO performance, trends, and recommendations to leadership and key stakeholders

Partners with the Marketing Operations Analyst to track data trends, conduct audits, and drive continuous optimization based on measurable results and insights

Collaborates with the Marketing Operations Administrator to maintain content accuracy, metadata compliance, and adherence to SEO standards across community websites

Supports content optimization efforts by developing on-page SEO best practices, refining community descriptions, and guiding the integration of keyword and UX principles into site content

Supports the launch and migration of new websites by performing SEO readiness checks, URL mapping, redirect management, and post-launch audits to preserve rankings and traffic

Maintains and documents SEO processes, workflows, and playbooks to ensure consistency, scalability, and knowledge sharing within the Marketing Operations team

Stays current with SEO trends, Google algorithm updates, and emerging digital marketing technologies to keep Weidner’s SEO program at the forefront of innovation

Collaborates across Marketing, Operations, and vendor partners to ensure alignment between SEO initiatives, advertising efforts, and user experience goals
Qualifications:

4-6 years of experience in SEO, digital marketing, or related roles with proven results in organic performance and sit optimization

Comprehensive knowledge of on-page, off-page, and technical SEO, including local SEO and schema implementation

Proficiency with Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, Looker Studio, and enterprise SEO platforms such as Conductor

Experience with CMS platforms including Entrata, WordPress, and Yardi; Understanding of how web technologies and site structure influence SEO performance

Strong analytical and project management skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Familiarity with automation, AI tools, and SEO software to streamline optimization, reporting, and testing processes

Excellent written and verbal communications skills; able to translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations

Collaborative, self-motivated, and detail-oriented, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Computer Science, or related field preferred
