Server

• This is a full-time position offering a flexible schedule between 7am-7pm! Every other weekend is required!
• Starting pay is $17 / hour!

The Server will deliver and serve meals to residents, families and guests in an efficient, attentive and courteous manner to achieve an overall gracious dining experience. A variety of tasks may be performed to keep the dining area operating in an organized and efficient manner. A willingness to work with the elderly population is essential for this role.

The Server will:

• Serve resident meals in a friendly and professional manner.
• Understand the daily menu through active participation in the pre-meal meeting.
• Effectively communicate information to residents regarding flavor, availability, presentation and preparation of meals.
• Complete all side work assignments and prepare for shift.
• Follow procedures to assure that dining room(s) and service stations are organized and sanitary at all times.
• Put resident service first. Ensure that residents and families receive the highest quality service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individual’s needs and rights.
• Perform all other duties as requested.

Education Requirements:

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be Serv-Safe certified, or willing to obtain certification upon acceptance of employment offer.
• Prefer experience within senior living or healthcare environments, must be sensitive to needs of senior population.
