Island House is a family-owned, fast-paced restaurant that celebrates good vibes, great food, and friendly service. We’re looking for a dedicated and upbeat Server/Cashier to join our team and help create the welcoming, easy-going atmosphere our guests know and love.

Position Overview
As a Server/Cashier, you’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring smooth and accurate transactions, and maintaining high food safety and cleanliness standards. This is a fast-moving role ideal for someone who thrives in a team setting and enjoys engaging with people.

Key Responsibilities

• Warmly greet guests and take orders with accuracy and a smile
• Operate the cash register and Aloha POS system to process orders and payments
• Follow all food safety and sanitation protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment
• Keep dining areas, counters, and workstations clean and organized
• Assist with food prep and service during busy hours, upholding quick-service standards
• Respond to guest questions or concerns promptly and professionally
• Perform accurate retail math for cash handling and transactions
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient service flow, especially during peak times

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience using POS systems
• Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
• Excellent customer service skills with a positive, team-oriented attitude
• Ability to handle high-volume service with grace and accuracy
• Basic math skills for cash handling and change-making
• Previous experience in a quick-service, fast-casual, or counter-service restaurant preferred
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a clean and welcoming space
