Big-Dill Hospitality is a family-owned restaurant group that owns and operates Muchacho Tex-Mex, Whistle Britches, Even Coast, Casa Brasa, Kamilla and many more unique and fantastic dining concepts coming soon in the DFW area. Helmed by Chef Omar Flores, a two-time James Beard Semi-Finalist, Best Chef SW and Dallas Rising Star Chef, this is Chef Flores’ newest passion project several years in the making. This scratch kitchen concept prides itself on its innovative menu and modern approach to the bar scene, happy hour, and brunch.

Position Overview:

Servers at Muchacho TexMex are ambassadors of the guest experience, delivering refined, intuitive service in a casual upscale dining environment. This role requires professionalism, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of elevated food and beverage offerings. Servers are expected to guide guests seamlessly through their dining experience while upholding the highest hospitality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide polished, attentive, and personalized service from greeting to farewell
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and flavor profiles
  • Confidently describe and recommend food, wine, spirits, and cocktails
  • Accurately take and enter orders using the POS system with attention to detail
  • Coordinate timing of courses with the kitchen and bar to ensure a smooth dining flow
  • Anticipate guest needs and respond to requests with urgency and discretion
  • Handle guest feedback professionally and escalate concerns when appropriate
  • Maintain a pristine dining room, including table settings, glassware, and service stations
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and responsible alcohol service guidelines
  • Complete opening, running, and closing side work to brand standards

Ideal Candidate:

  • Prior serving experience in an upscale or full-service dining environment preferred
  • Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, and elevated service etiquette is a plus
  • Excellent communication and guest engagement skills
  • Ability to multitask while maintaining composure and attention to detail
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • TABC and Food Handler Certification

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to work in a standing position for 8-10 hours per day
  • Ability to lift 60lbs (50lbs overhead)
  • Stand for a long period of time.
  • Be able to kneel, crouch, stoop, twist, reach, push, pull and grasp throughout the day.
  • Hearing and communicating in person or over telephone.
