Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm to set a positive tone for their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using Toast POS system, ensuring clarity and efficiency
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns, and ensuring overall satisfaction
- Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering and cash handling procedures
- Maintain sanitation standards by adhering to food safety protocols, proper food handling, and cleanliness in dining areas
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff during busy periods
- Support host/hostess duties when needed by managing reservations and seating arrangements in a courteous manner
- Ensure all food industry regulations are followed diligently to promote safety and quality
Skills
- Proficiency with POS systems for order entry and payment processing
- Strong culinary knowledge or culinary experience to better understand menu offerings and guest needs
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours
- Proven sales ability with upselling techniques that boost revenue while enhancing guest satisfaction
- Experience in fine dining environments is preferred but not required
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that creates memorable experiences
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced restaurant setting with kitchen staff and front-of-house team members
- Basic math skills for accurate check splitting, cash handling, and transaction management
- Strong communication skills to engage guests effectively and coordinate seamlessly with team members
