SUMMARY
The Cambridge at Brier Creek, a senior living community located in Raleigh, NC is seeking an experienced SERVER to join our team!
We are looking for individuals, preferably with restaurant serving experience. Food servers ensure that residents and guests have an enjoyable dining experience by providing quality customer service. Servers will service in the restaurant, bar, to-go stand and the café taking orders, serving drinks, and removing dinnerware in a timely manner.
Full-time and part-time positions are available. Lunch shifts range from 10:30am-2:30pm and dinner shifts from 4:00pm-8:00pm. We are looking for individuals who have weekend availability.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned)
- Utilizes opening duties checklist to prepare for upcoming meals
- Attend chefs pre-service meeting to learn of the menu items of the day
- Take orders and serve residents and guests in a timely and professional manner
- Bus tables to ensure cleanliness and comfort for residents
- Work as a team with other staff to provide the best possible dining experience
- Utilizes closing duties to ensure proper cleaning and closing of the restaurant
- Ensure the best quality of customer service for residents and guests alike
QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum of sixteen (16) years of age
- Must take the ABC board safe service online course within 90 days of employment
- Must possess a minimum of a 10th grade education
- Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language. Must be able to express self adequately in written and oral communication and to communicate effectively with supervisor and staff members
- The ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the public.
- Must be able to interpret and implement written or oral programs, goals, objectives, policy, and procedures of the food and beverage department
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ENVIRONMENT
- Must be able to bend, stoop, lift, walk, and stand intermittently throughout the workday. May be exposed to hot/cold temperatures in kitchen/storage areas.
- Noise levels may be above normal in the work environment.
- Subject to falls, cuts, burns from equipment and hot foods, infectious diseases, odors, etc. throughout the workday.
- Exposed to wet floor in the dish room.
- Subject to frequent interruptions.
- May occasionally lift or move items of up to 50 pounds.
- An employee is occasionally exposed to blood or other body fluids, fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals.
