Job Title: Part-Time Server — Home Away From Home (Wrigleyville)

Home Away From Home, a sports bar and grill located on Clark Street in Wrigleyville, is hiring part-time servers. Our service hours are event-based, built around home Cubs games and events at Wrigley Field. We are seeking experienced servers who can deliver fast, accurate, guest-focused service in a high-volume environment.

The Environment

Service moves quickly, with guests arriving in waves to watch games, dine, and stay through events. Successful servers manage a full section with composure, maintain attentive guest engagement, and keep their tables clean and well-paced throughout the shift. Strong, personable communication with guests is essential to this role.

Responsibilities

• Greet each table quickly and establish attentive service
• Manage a full section with speed, accuracy, and situational awareness
• Enter orders and process payments accurately on the Toast POS system
• Maintain food and drink service and working knowledge of the menu, draft list, signature cocktails, and major allergens
• Pre-bus continuously to keep tables clean and orderly
• Verify identification, serve alcohol responsibly, and involve a manager when appropriate
• Communicate and coordinate effectively with bartenders, kitchen, and support staff

Qualifications

• One or more years of serving experience preferred
• Toast POS experience preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills and an engaging, conversational approach with guests
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• BASSET and Food Handlers certification required within first 30 days
• Availability for home Cubs games and Wrigley Field events

Compensation: $12.62 per hour plus tips

Schedule: Part-time, ongoing. Hours are event-based around home Cubs games and Wrigley Field events.
