Duties

  • Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring quick and correct processing
  • Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
  • Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols
  • Manage cash handling responsibilities including cashiering, opening/closing tabs, and processing payments accurately
  • Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to uphold sanitation standards
  • Use reservation management tools like OpenTable to coordinate guest seating and reduce wait times
  • Foster positive guest relations by addressing inquiries promptly and resolving concerns with professionalism

Skills

  • Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings
  • Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms
  • Strong knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
  • Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
  • Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining guest satisfaction
  • Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and inventory management
  • Experience with food industry standards including food preparation, serving, bussing, and host/hostess duties
  • Familiarity with reservation systems like OpenTable to optimize seating arrangements
  • Knowledge of hospitality principles to create an inviting atmosphere for all guests
