Server Job Summary

A Server is responsible for providing exceptional guest service by greeting customers, taking food and beverage orders, delivering meals accurately, and ensuring guests have an enjoyable dining experience. Servers act as the primary point of contact between guests and the restaurant, maintaining menu knowledge, answering questions, handling payments, and working closely with kitchen and management teams to ensure smooth operations. The ideal candidate is friendly, energetic, attentive to detail, and committed to delivering outstanding hospitality.


REQUIREMENTS

  • Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Present menus, explain menu items, specials, and promotions.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders using the POS system.
  • Deliver food and beverages promptly and accurately.
  • Check on guests regularly to ensure satisfaction.
  • Process guest payments and handle cash and credit transactions accurately.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned tables and workstations.
  • Complete opening, running side work, and closing duties.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, bartenders, hosts, and management.
  • Resolve guest concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Assist fellow team members during busy periods.
  • Previous restaurant or customer service experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment.
  • Strong multitasking and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.
  • Must meet all New York State requirements for serving alcoholic beverages.
