Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Server to join our dynamic team in providing exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, excellent customer relations skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guest satisfaction in a casual restaurant setting. Prior experience with POS systems and food industry standards is highly valued.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dining areas, including bussing tables and resetting for new guests
- Assist with food preparation or kitchen support as needed, adhering to food safety standards
- Provide guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring overall satisfaction
- Follow all sanitation, food handling, and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments preferred, including fine dining or nightclub settings
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms
- Experience with customer service, guest relations, and upselling techniques
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation procedures
- Background in hospitality or food industry roles such as host/host or busser is advantageous
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask efficiently during busy periods
- Basic math skills for cashiering and handling cash transactions accurately
- Experience with food handling, preparation, or kitchen support is a plus
