Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Food Truck Manager to oversee daily operations of our mobile food service. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food service management experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role involves managing food preparation, staff supervision, inventory control, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards in a fast-paced, casual dining environment. The Food Truck Manager will play a pivotal role in maintaining high-quality service and operational efficiency across all aspects of the food truck operation.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily food truck operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure quality standards are met.
- Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reporting.
- Supervise staff training, development, and scheduling to maintain efficient shift management and team performance.
- Control inventory levels, order supplies, and monitor stock to minimize waste while ensuring product availability.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards in all areas of the truck.
- Handle customer service issues promptly to ensure a positive experience for all patrons.
- Manage budgeting, cost control, and financial records related to daily operations.
- Coordinate with vendors for supplies and equipment maintenance to ensure smooth operation.
- Assist in marketing efforts and community engagement initiatives to promote the food truck brand.
Requirements
- Proven management experience within the food service industry, preferably in quick service & fast food restaurants or casual dining settings.
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety protocols.
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; cash handling expertise required.
- Strong leadership skills with prior supervising or team management experience.
- Ability to train staff effectively in food handling, customer service, and operational procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills with experience in inventory control and budgeting.
- Hospitality management background preferred; fine dining or catering experience is a plus.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence.
- Ability to work flexible hours including shifts that may vary based on event schedules or locations.
- Previous experience managing restaurant or mobile food operations is highly desirable; hotel or banquet experience is advantageous.
