Duties

• Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with enthusiasm and professionalism
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted
• Provide detailed menu descriptions, recommend popular dishes, and upsell items to enhance the guest experience
• Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness
• Manage cash handling, process payments accurately through POS systems like OpenTable or cashiering tools, and provide correct change
• Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to uphold sanitation standards
• Foster positive guest relations through attentive service, addressing concerns promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction

Qualifications

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably with fine dining or nightclub settings
• Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
• Culinary experience or background in food handling and food safety practices is highly desirable
• Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while multitasking seamlessly
• Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and transaction processing
• Experience with upselling techniques to increase sales and enhance guest experiences
• Familiarity with restaurant operations such as serving, bussing, host/hostess duties, and sanitation procedures
• Knowledge of the food industry trends and excellent guest relations skills are a plus
