Duties

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using TOAST POS systems
• Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
• Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and food safety standards are maintained at all times
• Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas
• Manage cash handling and cashiering responsibilities with accuracy and professionalism
• Use reservation management tools like OpenTable to coordinate seating and optimize guest flow
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders in a fine dining or nightclub setting
• Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns, and creating a welcoming atmosphere
• Support host/hostess duties when needed by managing waitlists and guiding guests to their tables

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightlife venues
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as TOAST
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining guest satisfaction
• Effective time management skills to handle busy service periods efficiently
• Basic math skills for cash handling, billing, and order calculations
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices within the food industry
• Culinary or kitchen experience is a plus for better understanding of food preparation processes
• Experience with serving in high-volume settings is advantageous
• Strong communication skills for guest interactions and teamwork within a fast-paced environment
