Server positions may be scheduled for breakfast and lunch service, dinner service, or a combination of both based on operational needs.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

Provide efficient, friendly, and thoughtful service at all times.

Execute service standards for food and beverage presentation, timing, and guest interaction.

Must be willing to participate in regular and ongoing training.

Complete opening and closing duties in accordance with departmental checklists and standard operating procedures.

Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of food offerings and specials as well wine, beer, and cocktail offerings to confidently answer guest questions and make recommendations.

Accurately enter guest orders into the point of sale system and ensure timely, accurate delivery of food and drink, including processing guest payments.

Practice and uphold responsible alcohol service while complying with all applicable state laws and company policies.

Communicate inventory, product, or supply needs to management in a timely manner.

Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience by anticipating needs, responding promptly to requests, and resolving concerns or escalating issues as needed.

Assist with food running, expediting, hosting, bussing, and other front-of-house responsibilities as business levels require to support efficient restaurant operations.

Complete routine side work, including stocking supplies, polishing and restocking glassware, removing trash and recycling, sweeping, mopping, and other assigned cleaning and operational duties.

Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary work areas in accordance with health department standards.

Communicate effectively with kitchen, bar, and front-of-house team members to ensure accurate orders, efficient service, and a seamless guest experience.

Maintain a working knowledge of the resort and its offerings, promotions, and special events to assist guests with recommendations and general inquiries.

Support the execution of private events and special functions hosted by the restaurant as assigned.

Reliable attendance on all scheduled workdays.

Qualifications & Knowledge:

Must already have or be willing to complete the New Mexico Food Handlers Certification upon hire.

Must already have or be willing to complete the New Mexico Alcohol Server Certification upon hire.

Minimum 1 years’ experience in a high-volume bar preferred.

Working knowledge of the fundamentals of guest service.

Is self-motivated and capable of working diligently without constant supervision.

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with coworkers and guests.

Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays and evenings.
Work Environment:
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. TSVI is located in a high-altitude alpine environment. Position may require travel on uneven, snow packed, or icy terrain and may be exposed to wet, cold and/or humid conditions. Wet surfaces may exist and sharp objects may be located throughout the work area.
Physical Demands of Position Include:
Will often lift and carry up to 25 pounds, and occasionally team lift up to 50 pounds. 90-100% of the time will be spent standing, walking, reaching, talking, hearing, tasting and smelling. 25-50% of the time may be spent climbing/balancing, being exposed to the outdoors including winter weather conditions. Occasionally sitting – less than 15% of the time.
