Job Title: Server Assembly Specialist
Location: Dubai Silicon Oasis, Dubai. UAE

· Job Summary:
· We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Server Assembly Specialist to support the physical build, configuration, and testing of enterprise-grade servers, high-capacity storage systems, and GPU-accelerated compute nodes. In this role, you will work with cutting-edge technology from leading vendors (e.g., NVIDIA, AMD, Intel) and assemble systems that power AI/ML, HPC, and large-scale cloud environments. You will be part of a fast-paced team responsible for delivering production-ready hardware to internal teams and external clients.
· Key Responsibilities:
· Assemble custom-configured servers, storage appliances, and GPU nodes per engineering specifications and customer requirements.
· Install components including CPUs, memory, GPUs, storage devices (NVMe/SATA/SAS), RAID cards, network cards (NICs), and power supplies.
· Validate thermal and power configurations based on vendor documentation and airflow best practices.
· Perform firmware/BIOS updates, GPU vBIOS upgrades, and out-of-band management configuration (e.g., IPMI, iDRAC, iLO).
· Conduct diagnostics, burn-in testing, and hardware validation to ensure system performance and stability.
· Accurately label and cable multi-node racks using structured cabling best practices and data center standards.
· Maintain detailed records of builds in inventory and asset tracking systems (ERP/CRM).
· Troubleshoot and repair hardware failures in collaboration with engineering and QA teams.
· Follow ESD safety and proper handling procedures when working with sensitive components (especially GPUs and memory).
· Support R&D and validation teams by building testbed configurations or prototypes.
· Required Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical certification preferred.
· 2+ years of experience in server assembly, preferably in an OEM, systems integrator, or data center environment.
· Familiarity with GPU technologies (NVIDIA A100/H100, AMD Instinct, etc.) and their thermal/power requirements.
· Experience assembling servers from vendors such as Supermicro, Dell, HPE, Inspur, ASUS, or Gigabyte.
· Understanding of enterprise storage interfaces (NVMe, SAS, SATA) and RAID configurations.
· Proficient with BIOS/UEFI configuration, firmware flashing tools, and remote management protocols (IPMI, Redfish, etc.).
· Ability to interpret hardware BOMs, assembly diagrams, and technical documentation.
· Comfortable lifting servers (up to 50 lbs), operating hand tools, and working in a physically active environment.
· Preferred Skills:
· Familiarity with AI/ML server builds (multi-GPU systems, liquid cooling, NVLink/NVSwitch configurations).
· Basic Linux command-line skills for system validation and post-assembly testing.
· Experience using IT asset management and ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow, Odoo, etc.).
· Ability to work under tight deadlines and adjust to changing priorities in a production environment.
· Work Conditions:
· Onsite work in a data center, integration facility, or clean room assembly environment.
· May include occasional extended hours or weekend work during major deployments or high-demand periods.
· Safety gear (anti-static equipment, gloves, etc.) provided and required.
