Server/Banquet Bartender/Bartender at B2 Bistro + Bar North Brunswick

B2 Bistro + Bar in North Brunswick, NJ is looking for one "Jack-of-all-trades" to join our 108 person strong team. We are looking for someone with experience who would be interested in training for a high volume server/bartender position as well as train for our private banquet events. We are located on 230 Washington Place. Our ideal candidate is attentive, ambitious, and self-driven, with knowledge of working within the restaurant industry. Applicants must have some weekday & weekend availability. Applications that do not include availability or work experience will not be considered.

Responsibilities

• Setting up, breaking down, & cleaning bar area
• Making & serving alcoholic beverages to guests
• Ringing up items & cashing out guests
• Planning and presenting bar menu
• Checking customer's identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
• Restocking and replenishing bar inventory and supplies
• Staying guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
• Having full knowledge of bar & food menus, specials etc.
• Comply with all food and beverage regulations

Qualifications

• Proven working experience in the restaurant industry including (at minimum) one verifiable full year as a bartender
• Excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing and serving drinks
• Knowledge of a second language will be considered a plus
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
• Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean & be able to keep up with a high volume environment.
