Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, providing detailed descriptions of food and drink options.
- Take accurate orders using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems, ensuring timely and correct delivery of food and beverages.
- Prepare and serve a variety of drinks, including cocktails, beers, wines, and non-alcoholic beverages, adhering to all food safety and alcohol service regulations.
- Manage multiple tables or bar stations efficiently through excellent time management skills, ensuring prompt service during busy hours.
- Handle cash transactions accurately through POS systems, process payments, and provide correct change while maintaining proper cash handling procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area and dining space in compliance with food safety standards.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth food service operations, including catering for special events or banquet settings when needed.
- Engage with guests to promote specials or upsell menu items confidently, boosting sales while enhancing guest satisfaction.
- Uphold all food handling protocols and safety regulations to ensure a safe environment for both guests and staff.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or food service experience is highly preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus.
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is desirable.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables or bar orders efficiently during peak hours.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math understanding for sales upselling, and accurate bill processing.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Experience in catering or banquet settings is advantageous but not required.
