Server/Bartender

Nonna Bella’s is looking for an outgoing, dependable, and customer-focused Server/Bartender to join our team at our North Babylon location. The ideal candidate is friendly, organized, and comfortable providing excellent service in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

This position includes serving dine-in guests, preparing alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, handling customer orders, and helping create a welcoming experience for everyone who visits Nonna Bella’s.

Responsibilities:

• Greet guests promptly and provide friendly, professional service
• Take accurate food and beverage orders
• Serve meals and drinks efficiently
• Prepare cocktails, mixed drinks, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages
• Check identification and follow all alcohol service laws and restaurant policies
• Provide menu recommendations and answer guest questions
• Enter orders accurately into the POS system
• Communicate with kitchen and front-end staff to ensure timely service
• Monitor tables and respond to guest needs throughout their visit
• Handle cash, credit card payments, checks, and tips accurately
• Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked bar and dining area
• Complete opening, closing, and side-work responsibilities
• Restock beverages, glassware, napkins, utensils, and other supplies
• Assist with private parties, catering events, and large reservations
• Resolve minor guest concerns and notify management when necessary
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service standards
• Support other team members during busy shifts

Qualifications:

• Previous serving or bartending experience preferred
• Restaurant, pizzeria, or high-volume hospitality experience is a plus
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Basic knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, and responsible alcohol service
• Comfortable using POS systems and handling payments
• Ability to multitask and remain professional during busy periods
• Must be reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
• Must meet all New York State age requirements for serving alcohol
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to stand for extended periods and carry trays, beverages, and food orders

Job Type: Full-time or Part-time
