MAIN PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

To lead and manage service contracts and supplier relationships within the supply chain function, ensuring optimal performance, compliance, and value delivery across all service-related procurement activities.


JOB OBJECTIVES


  1. Manage Service Contracts Lifecycle: Oversee the end-to-end process of service contracts including drafting templates ,clauses and terms & conditions, negotiation, execution, and renewal.
  2. Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with service providers to ensure high-quality delivery and continuous improvement.
  3. Performance Monitoring: Establish KPIs and SLAs to monitor and evaluate supplier performance and contract compliance.
  4. Risk Mitigation: Identify and manage risks associated with service contracts, ensuring appropriate controls and contingency plans are in place.
  5. Support Strategic Sourcing Initiatives: Collaborate with procurement and end-users to align service contracts with strategic sourcing goals.
  6. Ensure Regulatory and Policy Compliance: Ensure all service contracts adhere to internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
  7. Drive Cost Optimization: Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements through effective contracting and contract management.
  8. Lead Dispute Resolution: Manage disputes and claims related to service contracts, coordinating with legal and operational teams as needed.
  9. Develop Contract Management Frameworks: Implement standardized processes, templates, and tools for managing service contracts.


QUALIFICATIONS AND WORK EXPERIENCE


Formal Qualifications/Education


Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field - Essential

Advanced degree (e.g., MBA or Master’s in Contract Management) is advantageous - Preferred


Relevant certifications:

  • Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM) or Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) by NCMA - Preferred
  • Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) - Preferred
  • Six Sigma or Lean Management certification is a plus - Preferred
  • Legal certifications or diplomas in contract law or procurement law - Preferred


Job Related Work Experience


Work experience in contracting and contract management, preferably in the energy, gasification, or power production industry - 10+Years Essential


Experience working with large-scale and complex supply chain contracts, including MRO contracts - Essential

Proven experience in negotiating high-value contracts with global suppliers and contractors - Essential

Hands-on experience in risk management, regulatory compliance, and dispute resolution - Essential


Experience working with large-scale and complex supply chain contracts, including EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contracts - Preferred


Job-Related Knowledge and Skills


Understanding of gasification processes, power production operations, and supply chain requirements - Aware

Knowledge of commercial and legal aspects of MRO contracts, EPC contracts, procurement laws, and international trade regulations - Proficient

In-depth understanding of risk assessment methodologies, compliance requirements, and dispute resolution processes - Advanced

Expertise in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts to safeguard organizational interests - Expert

Proficiency in navigating legal frameworks, international trade laws, and industry-specific regulations - Proficient

Familiarity with contract management software (e.g., Icertis, Ariba) - Proficient

Competence in using ERP systems and document management tools - Proficient

High integrity and adherence to ethical practices in all contractual dealings - Advanced

Problem solving and analytical skills - Proficient

Written and verbal communication skills - Proficient
