Job Purpose

We are currently recruiting for a high caliber individual for the Procure To Pay Service Deliver Lead (Tower Lead) role who is responsible for the overall purchase to pay activities and teams across the Middle East and Africa Markets (MEA) based in the MEA Hub in Karachi. The role focuses on delivering on Operational requirements as well as Strategic initiatives aligned to the broader GSK and Global Finance Service strategy. The Service Delivery Lead will focus on Operational, Continuous Improvements, Projects, Stakeholder’s management, cross functional collaboration, people and team management responsibilities as well as any other ad-hoc requirement. Such role will require deep knowledge of Procure to Pay end to end processes, excellent Stakeholders and Team management as well as having oversight of a Business Process Owner (BPO) for activities performed remotely.

Education, Experience & Skills


  • Bachelor’s degree, ACCA / CIMA qualified, P2P Accounting / ICM / Business administration
  • 10+ Years’ Experience as a team lead accounting qualification or process improvement experience at managerial level.
  • Excellent analytical skills. Ability to identify and resolve problems
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to engage with senior stakeholders / Finance Directors as well as ability to interact with and influence users/vendors.
  • Ability to work in culturally diverse teams and reconcile cultural differences to successfully deliver services (Local Market, BPO, Functional team)


Key Responsibilities


  • Driving delivery and performance of Procure to Pay operational activities across the Middle East Africa (MEA) markets. This includes invoice processing, intercompany, employees travel & expenses, payments, vendor master management, month end activities, controls, service support, audit support through a service provider, drive Continuous Improvements initiatives, drive projects as required.
  • Accountable for day-to-day delivery of operations through the Hub operational team and BPO Service Provider, resolving Markets / Vendor’s issues and proactively identifying any issues or risks to the service(s) being provided.
  • Escalating issues through the set-up governance where required.
  • Working closely with third party providers and local Process expert(s) to ensure delivery in line with established service levels and service line strategy.
  • Driving standard practices and consistency in service delivery across the Region(s) through GSK policies, tools and processes.
  • Monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level agreements (SLAs)
  • Ensuring that robust Business Continuity Plan and Risk Management of internal controls and regulatory compliance are met through applicable policies, procedures and processes performed by BPO.
  • Responsible for controls, control testing results and where required ensuring mitigations plans are effective.
  • Driving Projects as well as Continuous Improvements initiatives across the team and globally as necessary.
  • Working closely with different other Finance Towers / teams (Order to Cash, Controllership, Risk Management, Planning & Forecasting) currently in the Regional Hub in Karachi as well as Global Process Owners and other Hubs globally to ensure standardization of processes and activities.
  • Managing and communicating with Stakeholders at different level of seniority in the Markets, Region and at corporate level.
  • Managing a large team including performance and development.
