Service Electrician (Apprentice / Junior Tech)

Job Description:
Blue Streak Lighting & Electric is seeking an Entry-Level Service Electrician to join our growing team. This position is ideal for individuals with 1–2 years of field experience or trade schooling who are eager to learn, develop their skills, and grow into a long-term career in electrical services. You’ll be working on multi-family and commercial projects, supporting senior electricians while building your own troubleshooting and installation expertise.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with troubleshooting, repairs, and basic electrical installations.
• Support senior electricians on service calls and larger projects.
• Perform lighting retrofits and fixture replacements.
• Learn to calibrate and install lighting controls.
• Maintain safe work practices and comply with electrical codes.
• Drive company vehicles to job sites and handle tools/equipment responsibly.

Requirements:

• Valid California Driver’s License with a clean record.
• CA DMV Driver Record required before in-person interview (Request Record Online).
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work at heights up to 30ft.
• 1–2 years of field experience or trade schooling.
• ET card or working toward certification preferred.

Qualifications:

• 1–2 years of electrical experience or trade schooling.
• ET card or working toward license preferred.
• Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Physical stamina and ability to work in different environments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
