Service Engineer

The Service Engineer in the construction industry is primarily responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of construction equipment, systems, and machinery at job sites or client locations. The role ensures that all equipment operates efficiently, meets safety standards, and supports project timelines and quality goals.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities:

▪️ Installation & Commissioning:

Install and commission construction machinery and systems on-site (e.g., cranes, concrete batching plants, generators, etc.).

Ensure all installations comply with manufacturer guidelines and project specifications.

▪️ Maintenance & Repairs:

Perform regular preventive maintenance and emergency repairs.

Diagnose equipment issues and propose solutions to minimize downtime.

Maintain accurate records of service visits and repair activities.

▪️ Technical Support:

Provide technical guidance and support to on-site teams and clients.

Train operators or maintenance staff on the safe and effective use of equipment.

▪️ Documentation & Reporting:

Prepare service reports, equipment logs, and technical documentation.

Report service issues, potential risks, and improvement suggestions to the Service Manager.

▪️ Compliance & Safety:

Follow health and safety regulations at construction sites.

Ensure all work is compliant with local laws and company quality standards.
