Service Engineer

Job Summary

The Service Engineer is responsible for installation, preventive maintenance, breakdown support, and technical service of AJAX Self Loading Concrete Mixer (SLCM) machines at customer sites. The role ensures maximum machine uptime, customer satisfaction, and adherence to service standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Installation & Commissioning

• Carry out machine installation and commissioning at customer sites.
• Conduct pre-delivery inspection (PDI) and ensure proper machine handover.
• Provide basic operational training to machine operators.

2. Preventive Maintenance

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance as per company guidelines.
• Check engine, hydraulic system, transmission, electricals, and structural components.
• Maintain service records and maintenance checklists.

3. Breakdown & Troubleshooting

• Attend machine breakdown complaints within the defined TAT.
• Diagnose faults in:
• Engine (Diesel)
• Hydraulic system
• Electrical and sensors
• Drum and mixing system
• Carry out on-site repairs to restore machine operation quickly.

4. Spare Parts & Service Reporting

• Identify and recommend required spare parts.
• Coordinate with the spare parts department for availability.
• Submit daily service reports (DSR) and job cards.
• Maintain proper documentation of service history.

5. Customer Support

• Maintain strong customer relationships.
• Provide technical guidance for proper machine usage.
• Address customer complaints and escalate critical issues to management.

6. Field Operations

• Travel to customer locations as required.
• Ensure safety standards during field service work.
• Monitor machine performance and suggest improvements.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Knowledge of:
• Diesel engines
• Hydraulics and pneumatics
• Electrical troubleshooting
• Construction equipment / SLCM machines
• Basic computer skills for reporting (Excel / Service App).
• Good communication and customer handling skills.
• Ability to work independently in field conditions.

Qualification & Experience

• Diploma / ITI / B.E. in Mechanical / Automobile / Electrical Engineering.
• 1–4 years of experience in construction equipment, heavy machinery, or SLCM service.
• Experience with AJAX or similar equipment will be an added advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
