Service Sales Engineer, Elevator Industry – Dubai, UAE

Role Summary:
The Service Sales Engineer understands the company’s products and processes to provide full technical and administrative support to the service sales team during the tender and implementation of the projects. This role is crucial in maintaining strong customer relationships by acting as an extension of the field service sales force.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Process service sales leads and prepare and submit pre-qualification and tender documents to clients.
  • Study inquiries and tenders regarding commercial and technical matters, liaising with the technical department and factory for any required clarifications, support, and assistance.
  • Serve as a liaison between departments, the factory, clients, and stakeholders to provide services that meet clients’ needs, cost and time constraints, and necessary solutions.
  • Coordinate with other departments (Finance, HSE, etc.) to gather necessary information for submitting quotations and tenders, including arranging bonds and special approvals.
  • Organize and file service sales records such as tenders, specifications, queries, contracts, invoices, receipts, communications, and reports.
  • Review, check, and update all documentation and contact customers to resolve any queries.
  • Maintain service sales records in the system, prepare reports, and provide information to the finance department in coordination with the Service Sales Manager on incoming and completed orders for cash flow forecasting.
  • Clarify client requirements and prepare final agreed specifications and inquiries.
  • Prepare compliance statements for projects in coordination with the Service Sales Manager.
  • Act as the account manager for customers within your portfolio, handling all matters related to their accounts.
  • Be the first point of contact for urgent calls, inquiries, emails, and messages.
  • Manage correspondences and communications between the service sales team and clients/stakeholders.
  • Achieve assigned Renewal, Conversion, Recapture, 3rd-Party, Repair, and MOD sales targets.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of orders, responses, and customer feedback.
  • Responsible for the collection of accounts receivables under your portfolio.
  • Monitor customer accounts and provide data analysis, reports, and relevant information to assist the service sales team.
  • Meet with clients, consultants, contractors, and facility management regularly to ensure first-class customer service.

Requirements and qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical).
  • Relevant certifications will be an added advantage.
  • 3-5 years of experience in the Elevator Industry is a Must.
  • Excellent negotiation and persuading skills.
  • Excellent presentation and creativity skills.
  • Solid technical background in SAP, VIEW, and other Sales software relevant to the industry.
  • Problem-solving and conflict-management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong decision-making skills.
