SHAFAF Pickup Operator

This position is responsible for driving and operating SHAFAF pickup trucks to deliver LPG cylinders to various locations across Qatar in a safe and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine inspections of SHAFAF pickup trucks to ensure they are in safe and roadworthy condition before and during operations.
• Comply with all traffic laws and safety regulations, including speed limits and safe driving practices.
• Load and unload LPG cylinders onto/from SHAFAF pickups according to instructions from the dispatch clerk.
• Inspect cylinders at customer sites for any damage or defects to prevent stock discrepancies and losses.
• Maintain professional communication with customers and coordinate effectively during deliveries.
• Apply basic knowledge of supply chain/logistics, use computer systems as required, and demonstrate problem-solving and planning skills.
• Communicate effectively in English and/or Arabic.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Secondary school education (12 years) or equivalent is preferred.
• Valid Qatar driving license for medium truck operation.

Minimum Experience:

• At least three (3) years of relevant experience, preferably in LPG cylinder distribution or petroleum product delivery.

Training / Certification:

• Defensive driving certification
• Basic firefighting training
• Certification in land transportation of dangerous goods
