SharePoint Designer and Web Application Administrator

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled SharePoint Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing our SharePoint environment, ensuring high availability and performance while supporting the organization's collaboration needs. This role requires a strong understanding of system administration, IT infrastructure, and solution architecture to effectively implement and maintain SharePoint solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain the SharePoint environment, including site collections, permissions, and user access.
  • Implement and manage service-oriented architecture (SOA) solutions within SharePoint.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy SharePoint solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to SharePoint applications.
  • Ensure information security best practices are followed within the SharePoint environment.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Utilize scripting languages such as PowerShell or Bash for automation tasks related to SharePoint management.
  • Work with cloud services such as AWS or Azure to integrate SharePoint with other applications.
  • Participate in Agile development processes to enhance collaboration tools and features.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Proven experience in system administration, specifically with SharePoint environments.
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure components including networking (DNS, DHCP), operating systems (Windows, Linux), and virtualization technologies (VMware, ESXi).
  • Familiarity with database management systems such as SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
  • Experience with programming/scripting languages including JavaScript, Python, PL/SQL, T-SQL, or Shell Scripting.
  • Understanding of DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines using tools like Git and Jenkins.
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture and RESTful APIs for integration purposes.
  • Experience with container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $45.99 - $65.39 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Experience:

  • SharePoint tools-ULS Logs, workflows, and SharePoint forms: 5 years (Required)
  • Sharepoint administration: 5 years (Required)
