Job Purpose: Duty Manager - AOCC/JCC is responsible for supervising shift-based airport operations, ensuring efficient resource utilization, compliance with standard procedures, and swift coordination during disruptions. The role demands quick decision-making to address real-time challenges, maintain operational continuity, and uphold On-Time Performance (OTP) across all airport functions.

Responsibilities

Operational Oversight:

Direct and supervise daily operations across the shift, ensuring compliance with established operational standards and procedures.

Monitor flight schedules, OTP (On-Time Performance), delays, and cancellations, taking necessary actions to minimize disruptions.

Notify airlines, ground handlers, and operators of adverse weather conditions and implement Low Visibility Procedures (LVP) when required.

Coordinate with ATC for expected time of arrival (ETA) updates, parking stand assignments, runway usage changes, and aircraft towing/engine run-ups.

Resource Management

Manage the allocation and utilization of airport resources such as parking stands, boarding gates, check-in counters, and baggage reclaim belts during shift operations to maximize asset utilization.

Regularly monitor resource usage and promptly address any concerns related to allocation, availability, or maintenance.

Emergency And Contingency Management

Support the implementation of emergency response plans in collaboration with relevant stakeholders during disruptions or crises.

Manage operations during crisis situations (e.g., weather events, security incidents, or equipment failures) to minimize impact on passengers and airport activities.

Team Supervision

Lead and support team members in the shift, offering direction and ensuring that performance aligns with organizational standards.

Evaluate team performance and foster professional growth through tailored development plans for team members.

Stakeholder Coordination

Engage with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate seamless operations and promptly address any emerging issues.

Act as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders during the shift, including airlines, ground handlers, customs, immigration, ATC, and security agencies.

Communicate operational updates, disruptions, and emergency response actions to senior management and relevant stakeholders promptly.

Compliance And Reporting

Uphold adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements across all managed sections or sites.

Ensure that all operational activities are in line with airport SOPs and safety guidelines.

Maintain accurate records of shift operations, incidents, and disruptions in AOCC/JCC systems.

Generate and submit daily shift reports, including key performance metrics (OTP, resource utilization, disruptions) for management review.

Qualifications

Educational Background:

Bachelor's Degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, or a related field

Work Experience

5-7 years of relevant experience in airport operations.
