Shift Manager (Poly Chemical) _ HUB

Gatron (Industries) Limited, one of the leading manufacturing companies operating in Pakistan. We are recruiting Shift Manager Chemical (Polycon Department) for our plant based in Hub Chowki.

The shift Manger is responsible for managing the daily operations of a specific shift or production line in a continuous operation plant. The primary focus is on ensuring that production goals are met, and that quality, safety, and efficiency standards are being maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take over charge from the outgoing Shift Manager and monitor handing and taking over charge of shift crew and conduct the shift round. (Operational).
• Oversee the activities of production staff, including DCS Engineer & DCS Operator, operators, and quality control personnel, to ensure that production goals are met and that quality standards are maintained. (Operational).
• Monitor and control the production process through DCS Engineer & DCS Supervisor, ensuring that it is running within established parameters and that any deviations are addressed promptly. (Operational).
• Review and adjust production schedules to ensure that production goals are met according to MRP Plan, and that equipment is utilized efficiently. (Operational).
• Ensure that products meet quality standards by monitoring production processes, conducting regular inspections, and addressing any quality issues that arise. (Operational).
• Manage inventory levels, including raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods, to ensure that production is not interrupted by stock shortages. (Operational).
• Coordinate with maintenance teams to perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment to minimize downtime and optimize the production.
• Provide training and guidance to production personnel on equipment operation, safety procedures, and quality standards to ensure that the team has required skills to perform duties effectively. (Team Management & Development).
• Communicate effectively within the shift staff, cross functional department, and department top leadership to ensure seamless operations and resolve any issues that may arise.
• Identify and resolve problems that arise during the shift, such as process upset, equipment failures, material shortages, or production bottlenecks.
• Conduct a management safety audit of the plant as per schedule and ensure that all outstanding points from the MSA are closed within one week. (HSE).

Requirements:

Qualification: Bachelor degree in Chemical or related field.

Experience: 05 to 06 Years of experience in Polymer, Process or Chemical plant.
