Job Purpose
To oversee production operations during the day shift and produce products by meeting quality and productivity parameters by supervising direct reports and organising and monitoring workflows
Key Accountabilities

Ensure the designated production machines function optimally and deliver expected output by efficiently managing resources required to operate machinery and minimise downtime

Collaborate with the Quality Control team to maintain product standards, addressing any production-related issues promptly to ensure product integrity is not compromised

Communicate with the maintenance team regarding any machine faults through the Job Service Request system

Assist in integration and trial runs of New Product Developments (NPD) into the production line

Work with the Assistant Manager Operations to implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement strategies, identifying any inefficiencies in the production process and making recommendations

Provide a daily production report against each Purchase Order (PO) to the Assistant Manager Operations

Generate and submit reports on General Efficiency (GE) and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) metrics

Document and report material usage and wastage against each PO, ensuring accurate tracking

Maintain accurate records of production metrics, incidents, and team performance, providing regular updates to the Assistant Manager Operations, highlighting challenges or achievements

Directly oversee the activities of the Packing Supervisor and Process Operator, providing guidance and training to enhance the team’s performance

Promote and enforce a safety-first culture within the team and address any safety concerns immediately

Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), and Safety standards within the designated area, and maintain relevant documentation

Keep abreast with the latest developments in production and supervision methods to ensure NFL’s manufacturing processes aligns with industry best practices
Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline with 3-5 years of experience
