About the Role:

The Mechanical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of Mechanical Systems and Machinery. This role includes supervising a team, ensuring maintenance protocols are followed and troubleshooting when necessary. It is critical for the Mechanical Supervisor to ensure all mechanical equipment functions efficiently and safely.

Instructs, directs and supervises the activities of client’s mechanical workshop operating procedures. Prescribes work detail, specifications and procedures to be adopted in special undertakings related to the repair, fabrication, maintenance and modification of equipment. Reporting team and individual performance to human resources and mechanical HOD. Evaluate each member of the team and record employee punctuality, performance on goals, professionalism, disciplinary issues, adherence to client’s policies and all safety procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Generate & close job card in the Oracle system for maintenance activities, corrective, preventive and reconditioning work.
• Managing the day-to-day mechanical workshop operations.
• Distribution of daily activities, corrective, preventive and reconditioning work.
• Update weekly mechanical maintenance personnel attendance in the Oracle system.
• Implement mechanical maintenance schedule using preventive online/offline and corrective maintenance.
• Conduct monitoring of mechanical equipment performance.
• Recommend shutdown activities and removal of equipment to effect necessary repair and maintenance.
• Prepare accurate and updated documentation of daily mechanical maintenance activities and monitoring system
• Conduct proper troubleshooting, repair, testing and commissioning of mechanical equipment and facilities of the plant
• Plan mechanical work schedules in close coordination with the maintenance manager, other maintenance supervisors, and shift engineers.
• Design, estimate implement improvements and revisions necessary on exiting mechanical system and other projects for efficient operation of the plant.
• Evaluate the nature and extent of non-conformance based on feedback and complaints from other departments.
• Identify, prepare and implement technical training.
• Document and update maintenance procedures and work instructions.
• Assist the maintenance manager in the preparation, control, and monitoring of the maintenance budget to ensure the department’s cost-effectiveness.
• Assist in maintenance resource management.
• Assist in the coordination with other departments on operations requirements and inter-department policy formulation and implementation.
• Recommend leave approval and conduct performance evaluation.
• Check and verify the implementation of company policies
• Implement assigned action plans as per the department’s KPIs
• Assist in the attainment of quality and EHS key performance measures.
• Comply with company policies, safety and security rules, and code of conduct.
