Job Purpose:
To support shipping operations by preparing documentation, coordinating shipments, and assisting with inventory control to ensure accurate and timely dispatch of goods, contributing to smooth logistics processes and high customer satisfaction.
Accountabilities:

Prepare and organize shipping documentation, such as bills of lading, shipping labels, and customs declarations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, and internal teams to schedule shipments and meet delivery timelines, assisting in effective planning and prioritization of dispatches.

Track and update the status of shipments, alerting the shipping supervisor to any delays or issues to facilitate timely resolutions.

Assist in monitoring inventory levels for shipping orders, verifying that products are available and properly allocated to meet shipping schedules.

Maintain organized records of shipping activities and documentation, supporting reporting and compliance requirements.

Conduct quality checks on outgoing shipments to ensure orders are complete, properly packaged, and accurately labeled for safe and secure transport.

Support cost management by comparing carrier rates and tracking shipping expenses, contributing to cost-effective logistics operations.

Provide administrative support to the shipping team, including data entry, filing, and preparing reports, to ensure efficient and accurate shipping operations.
Qualifications and Education:
Diploma or associate’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience:

Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a shipping, logistics, or warehouse role, preferably in an FMCG or manufacturing environment.

Familiarity with shipping documentation, inventory management, and basic logistics software.

Basic knowledge of import/export procedures and compliance is advantageous.
