Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Shipping Coordinator located in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. The Shipping Coordinator will handle day-to-day tasks such as ensuring efficient execution of shipping operations through coordination between warehouses, booking company, and internal departments, achieving fast turnover of shipments and fulfilling customer requests on time.

Detailed Roles and Responsibilities:

• Monitor inventory remotely and ensure shipment turnover according to the First In, First Out (FIFO) principle.

• Fulfill customer requests and coordinate with supporting departments (Sales, Customer Service, Warehouses, Finance) to ensure smooth operations.

• Provide the booking company with future information on a regular basis to enable securing bookings in advance.

• Monitor vessel movements and container receiving schedules, ensuring execution of bookings received from the booking company.

• Maintain continuous coordination with warehouses in the USA and follow up on work progress remotely.

• Prepare and submit periodic reports to management on shipment status and any challenges or obstacles in operations.

• Contribute to solving operational issues and propose improvements to enhance work efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in shipping and logistics.

• Excellent command of English language (spoken and written).

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and reporting.

• High ability to learn quickly, organize, and manage time effectively.

• Strong leadership and decisive personality to handle multiple warehouses and departments simultaneously.

• Ability to work under pressure and for extended hours.

• Willingness to work evening shifts.

Authority Scope

• Direct coordination with external warehouses and the booking company within the approved instructions.

• Submit reports to the Line Manager and avoid making financial or contractual decisions without management approval.

Work Relationships

• Internal: Coordination with (Sales – Customer Service – Finance – booking company -Quality).

• External: Communication with the warehouses in the USA.
