Shipping Coordinator

The Shipping & Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating import shipments, customs clearance, inland transportation, and inventory movement, ensuring compliance with customs, port, and regulatory requirements while optimizing costs and timelines.

Key ResponsibilitiesImport & Shipping Operations

• Coordinate import shipments of petroleum and bituminous products from overseas suppliers
• Liaise with shipping lines, freight forwarders, CHA, surveyors, and port authorities
• Track vessel schedules, BL issuance, arrival notices, and cargo movement
• Ensure timely filing of Bills of Entry and clearance documentation

Customs & Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure compliance with Customs Act, DGFT, BIS, PESO, and other applicable regulations
• Coordinate with Customs Brokers for smooth clearance and examination
• Maintain records of imports, licenses, COO, test reports, and related documentation
• Support responses to queries from Customs, DRI, or other authorities when required

Logistics & Transportation

• Arrange inland transportation from port to factory/warehouse/customer locations
• Coordinate with transporters for tankers, bulk movement, and containerized cargo
• Monitor delivery timelines, shortages, damages, and transit losses

Cost Control & Reporting

• Monitor demurrage, detention, port charges, freight, and logistics costs
• Prepare cost sheets for imports and logistics operations
• Track invoices and coordinate with accounts for timely payments

Coordination & Documentation

• Maintain shipment trackers and MIS reports
• Coordinate with procurement, production, sales, and accounts teams
• Ensure proper documentation for audits and internal controls

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
