Shipping Executive

Job Summary:

The Shipping Executive is responsible for coordinating and monitoring all shipping and logistics operations to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods. This role involves handling documentation, liaising with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs authorities, and ensuring compliance with international trade regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

· Coordinate daily shipping and logistics operations (imports and exports).

· Prepare and verify all shipping documents such as invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, etc.

· Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs brokers for timely shipment handling.

· Track and monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any logistics issues.

· Maintain accurate records of all shipments and documentation for audit and compliance purposes.

· Ensure compliance with international shipping laws, customs regulations, and company policies.

· Negotiate freight rates and manage shipping costs efficiently.

· Prepare and update shipping reports, including shipment schedules and delivery status.

· Coordinate with internal departments (Procurement, Warehouse, Sales, and Finance) to align shipping activities.

· Handle insurance claims or discrepancies in case of damaged or lost goods.

Qualifications & Skills:

· Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

· 2–5 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or freight forwarding.

· Strong knowledge of import/export documentation and customs clearance procedures.

· Proficient in MS Office and ERP/logistics management software.

· Excellent communication and coordination skills.

· Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

· Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
