Shop Operation Assistant

We are looking for a dependable and experienced Shop Operation Assistant to help maintain the organization, cleanliness, and daily operations of our shop and grounds. This role supports the Shop Manager and teams by assisting with mechanical tasks, inventory handling, and plant care, while representing the company in a professional manner aligned with our values and mission.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, and organized shop and surrounding grounds
• Ensure all trash is collected and disposed of daily
• Check kitchen trash (front and back) weekly on Wednesdays
• Receive, check in, and organize all deliveries
• Assist the Shop Manager with tasks as needed
• Support office personnel on an as-needed basis
• Monitor greenhouse and tree areas daily for watering needs
• Maintain receiving area and incoming equipment organization
• Care for tree yard: re-pot, straighten, and cable plants as needed
• Maintain greenhouse organization and overall plant health
• Organize and maintain small hand tool room
• Call for dumpster pickup when capacity reaches 75%
• Maintain and small repairs for Fleet Vehicles
• Operate company vehicles, including tractor and dump truck, as assigned
• Report to work daily at 6:30 AM

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience: 1+ year of shipping & receiving experience.
• Licensing: CDL Class B license
• Physical Stamina: Ability to lift to 50lbs.as needed.
• Technical Skills: Small Equipment Repair
• Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.

Preferred Skills

• Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) is a major plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
