Job Overview:
As our CRO Lead/ Growth Manager, you will be the operational owner of our DTC store (Shopify or equivalent), to own Shopify CRO strategy and execution end-to-end. You’ll oversee day-to-day ecommerce operations while also identifying opportunities for long-term growth, tech improvements, and better customer journeys. You’ll bridge the gap between marketing, design, product, and customer experience to make sure every click leads to conversion.
This role is responsible for improving onsite conversion, customer experience, and revenue efficiency. You will work closely with paid ads, creative, and leadership to ensure traffic converts.
Key Responsibilities
What you’ll own
- Own CRO strategy and hands-on execution across the full funnel (PDP → ATC → Checkout), including diagnosis, hypothesis creation, prioritization, and implementation.
- Analyze funnel performance using GA4, SEM Rush, Triple Whale, or any attribution software and on-site behavior data to identify drop-offs, form clear hypotheses, and prioritize tests based on impact, effort, and confidence.
- Implement basic CRO changes directly in Shopify, including editing themes, sections, and templates (Liquid, HTML/CSS, and light JavaScript).
- Build and optimize landing pages aligned with paid traffic intent, messaging, and offers in close collaboration with the paid ads team.
- Own the Shopify app ecosystem, including evaluating, implementing, optimizing, and removing apps to improve conversion, performance, and reliability.
- Proactively identify UX, performance, and conversion issues through data, QA, and user behavior, and resolve them with minimal handoff.
- Ensure a seamless, conversion-focused customer experience across desktop and mobile, with a strong mobile-first lens.
- Ensure PDPs follow SEO best practices that support traffic relevance, page clarity, and conversion (e.g. titles, structure, internal linking, speed)
What you’ll actually do
- Analyze GA4 and funnel data to identify the highest-impact drop-offs and revenue bottlenecks
- Form clear, testable CRO hypotheses and maintain a prioritized testing roadmap
- Implement CRO changes directly in Shopify (Liquid, HTML, CSS, light JavaScript)
- QA all changes end-to-end to ensure site stability, performance, and accurate tracking
- Partner with the paid ads team to ensure landing pages and onsite messaging align with traffic intent
- Continuously improve site speed, clarity, trust signals, and conversion through ongoing testing and iteration
Requirements
- 5+ years in DTC e-commerce (Shopify)
- Strong understanding of conversion funnels, user experience, and ecommerce SEO.
- Familiarity with merchandising best practices, product hierarchy, and PDP design.
- Proficiency with GA4, Shopify Analytics, Excel/Sheets, Klaviyo, and heatmapping tools.
- Experience with basic HTML/CSS or managing developers/designers.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and data-literate.

- Working knowledge of headless commerce, internationalization, or B2B portals.
- Past work on Amazon, Faire, or other marketplaces.
