Shopify Developer

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Shopify Developer to manage and execute all aspects of Shopify development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building, customizing, and maintaining Shopify stores, developing custom Shopify apps, and integrating third-party plugins and services to enhance store functionality, performance, and user experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, customize, and maintain Shopify stores (themes, templates, layouts, and UI components)
• Build custom Shopify apps (public, private, or custom) using Shopify APIs
• Integrate and configure third-party Shopify apps and plugins
• Customize existing third-party apps to meet business requirements
• Implement Shopify Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frontend frameworks
• Optimize store performance, speed, and scalability
• Manage product catalogs, collections, checkout customizations, and payment gateways
• Handle Shopify migrations, store setup, and version upgrades
• Ensure cross-browser, cross-device compatibility and responsive design
• Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, performance issues, and integration errors
• Collaborate with designers, marketers, and backend teams
• Follow Shopify best practices for security, performance, and scalability
• Provide technical documentation and ongoing store support

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong experience with Shopify and Shopify Plus
• Proficiency in Shopify Liquid
• Solid knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript
• Experience developing custom Shopify apps
• Hands-on experience with Shopify APIs (REST & GraphQL)
• Experience integrating third-party plugins, apps, and external services
• Familiarity with version control tools (Git)
• Understanding of eCommerce best practices and UX/UI principles
• Experience with payment gateways, shipping APIs, and tax configurations
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Node.js, React, or Vue
• Knowledge of Shopify Hydrogen and headless commerce
• Experience with app submission to the Shopify App Store
• SEO and performance optimization experience
• Familiarity with analytics and tracking tools

Experience Level- 2+ years of hands-on Shopify development experience (adjustable based on role)
