Short-Form Content Creator (Part-Time)

Game World is a locally owned video game store chain looking for a creative and driven Content Creator to help grow our presence across TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook.

We’re looking for someone who understands what makes short-form video content perform on social media and can consistently create engaging, high-quality videos that showcase our stores, inventory, and gaming culture.

Responsibilities

• Create a consistent stream of short-form video content for social media, targeting 5–7 videos per week
• Develop strong content ideas optimized for TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts algorithms
• Film engaging in-store content featuring products, customers, and gaming culture
• Edit videos using modern video editing software (CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut, etc.)
• Optimize content for engagement, retention, and reach
• Collaborate directly with ownership on content strategy, trends, and creative direction
• Occasionally travel to our Bloomington locations for content shoots (travel covered)

Requirements

• Experience creating short-form video content for social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts)
• Strong understanding of social media trends, hooks, pacing, and audience retention
• Ability to brainstorm, film, and edit content independently
• Must provide your own high-quality camera, lighting, and audio setup
• Familiarity with video editing tools (CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, etc.)
• Passion for video games, retro gaming, or gaming culture
• Reliable, organized, and able to maintain consistent output

Bonus Points

• Comfortable appearing on camera for social media content
• Strong on-camera presence, personality, or storytelling ability
• Experience with viral content, skits, or influencer-style videos
• Experience managing or growing social media accounts
