Shovel operator

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Shovel Operator to operate heavy equipment for material handling operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for loading, unloading, stockpiling, and transporting raw materials efficiently while ensuring strict adherence to safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate shovel/loader equipment safely and efficiently
• Load and transport raw materials (limestone, sand, aggregates, coal, etc.)
• Maintain proper stockpile management
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and report defects
• Follow safety guidelines and company policies at all times
• Coordinate with production and maintenance teams
• Maintain cleanliness of working area
• Ensure proper fuel usage and minimize equipment downtime

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Shovel/Loader Operator
• Valid Heavy Equipment Operator License
• Experience in cement plant, quarry, construction, or industrial environment preferred
• Good understanding of safety standards and operational procedures
• Physically fit and able to work in shifts
• Basic knowledge of equipment maintenance
