Shower Door Designer

In this role, you will utilize cutting-edge software and tools to create detailed drawings that bring concepts to life. Collaborate with customers and project managers to ensure that every design meets the highest standards of quality and functionality.

Required Skills and qualifications

• Design: Create custom shower door enclosures, specifying hardware, glass type, and enclosure style (e.g., framed, frameless, sliding).
• Strong measurement and math skills: Attention to details is critical for designing accurate workable designs.
• Technical and fabrication: Utilize 3D CAD or other design software to create detailed drawings, part designs, and bills of materials.
• Customer and team communication: Work directly with glaziers to understand their needs and preferences and translate customer needs into a technical design and present it clearly.
• Sales and customer service: Meet with customers to discuss options, provide quotes, and guide them through the design process.
• Quality and safety: Ensure designs meet building codes, safety standards, and the company's quality control guidelines.
• Problem-solving: Ability to troubleshoot issues that may arise during the design or manufacturing process.

Basic qualifications

• Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD and Bluebeam.
• Strong understanding of construction principles and mechanical design concepts.
• Experience in interior design or graphic design is a plus.
• Ability to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
