Showroom Assistant

Job Summary

The Showroom Associate is responsible for the daily front-of-house operation of the Dunya Home Design showroom. This individual serves as the first point of contact for walk-in clients, designers, contractors, and partners.

This role combines showroom management, product education, light sales support, CRM management, and operational execution. The primary objective is to maintain a polished, fully operational showroom environment while delivering an exceptional customer experience and supporting revenue growth.

Activities & Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities

1. Showroom Opening & Closing Responsibilities

The Associate is responsible for executing all daily opening and closing procedures in accordance with Dunya Home Design’s official Opening / Closing SOP document.

This includes ensuring that:

  • The showroom is fully operational before business hours
  • All systems (alarm, POS, lighting, thermostat, music, displays) are activated properly
  • The showroom environment is clean, stocked, and presentation-ready
  • All devices and systems are properly shut down at closing
  • The facility is secured and alarmed at the end of the day

Strict adherence to the official SOP is required. Failure to follow opening and closing procedures may result in performance review.

2. Customer Experience & Showroom Touring

  • Greet all walk-in clients immediately and professionally
  • Offer guided tours of the showroom
  • Explain product categories clearly and confidently
  • Identify whether the visitor is a homeowner, designer, contractor, reseller, or partner
  • Collect visitor information for CRM entry
  • Provide product samples where appropriate
  • Communicate brand story and positioning consistently
  • Maintain a confident and consultative sales approach

The Associate represents Dunya’s professionalism, brand identity, and product authority at all times.

3. Product Mastery & Education

The Associate is required to fully learn and understand:

  • FLEXMARBLE (specs, installation, customization, sealing process, limitations)
  • SPC Luxinza Panels
  • EZ-Bricks
  • Fluted Panels
  • All pricing tiers (MSRP vs wholesale vs design professional)
  • Shipping methods and logistics overview
  • Installation basics and recommended adhesives
  • Current promotions or pricing adjustments

Ongoing training is mandatory. Product knowledge must be detailed enough to confidently handle technical and pricing-related questions.

4. Sales Support & POS Operation

  • Operate Shopify POS system accurately
  • Process payments and generate invoicesUnderstand order intake procedures
  • Assist in quote preparation
  • Track any exclusive sales eligible for commission
  • Ensure accurate documentation of all transactions
  • Support leadership in converting warm leads

Associate must learn internal pricing logic, discount approvals, and fulfillment workflow.

5. CRM Management & Lead Follow-Up

The Associate is responsible for maintaining accurate and organized CRM records.

This includes:

  • Logging all walk-ins, calls, emails, and showroom visits into the CRM
  • Updating contact details and opportunity stages
  • Tagging lead type (homeowner, contractor, designer, etc.)
  • Documenting notes from conversations
  • Tracking sample kit distributions

Additionally, the Associate is expected to:

  • Proactively follow up with customers who have received sample kits
  • Check in on previously quoted projects
  • Re-engage dormant opportunities
  • Confirm project timelines and purchasing intent
  • Report lead temperature (hot, warm, cold)
  • Escalate high-value opportunities to leadership

Follow-up should be professional, timely, and documented in the CRM.

Lead management is a performance-measured responsibility.

6. Reporting & Daily Communication

End-of-Day (EoD) Reporting is mandatory — even if no activity occurred.

Daily EoD Report must include:

  • Number of walk-ins
  • Type of visitors
  • Leads added to CRM
  • Follow-ups conducted
  • Sales made
  • Samples distributed
  • Inventory notes
  • Issues or concerns
  • Overall showroom condition
  • Noteworthy conversations or opportunities

Report must be submitted before the close of business each day.

7. Administrative & Operational Support

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of showroom
  • Ensure sample kits are stocked and presentable
  • Assist with light inventory organization
  • Monitor supply levels
  • Support event setup when required
  • Assist leadership with assigned administrative tasks

Pay: $20.00 per hour
