Key Responsibilities:
- Provide sign language interpretation services during videoconferencing sessions with customers who have speaking or hearing disabilities.
- Ensure accurate and clear communication between customers and representatives of the organization.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times, adhering to ethical standards of interpreting.
- Collaborate with other team members to optimize customer service experiences and resolve inquiries or issues effectively.
- Stay updated on relevant policies, procedures, and product/service information to provide accurate assistance to customers.
- Document interactions and relevant information accurately in the customer relationship management (CRM) system.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in sign language, with certification or training as a professional sign language interpreter preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both in sign language and spoken/written language.
- Empathetic and patient demeanour, with a commitment to providing high-quality service to customers with disabilities.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work in rotational shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
