Job Purpose:
To deliver the Sindhi curriculum effectively in line with Karachi Board standards, ensuring that students develop proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension of Sindhi language and literature, while also fostering respect for Sindhi culture and heritage.
Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Delivery
- Teach Sindhi language and literature according to the Karachi Board curriculum for secondary classes.
- Cover all required components including prose, poetry, grammar, essay writing, translation, and comprehension.
- Incorporate Sindhi culture, traditions, and history into classroom learning.
Lesson Planning & Teaching
- Prepare detailed lesson plans aligned with learning outcomes.
- Use a variety of teaching strategies (discussion, storytelling, reading, writing exercises, cultural references) to enhance learning.
- Encourage active participation and critical thinking in class.
- Integrate technology and audio-visual aids where appropriate.
Student Assessment & Progress
- Develop and administer class tests, assignments, and projects based on Karachi Board guidelines.
- Conduct formative and summative assessments to evaluate student learning.
- Maintain up-to-date records of student progress and share feedback with parents during PTMs.
Classroom Management & Discipline
- Establish a respectful and disciplined classroom environment.
- Encourage students to use Sindhi confidently in spoken and written forms.
- Promote cultural respect, tolerance, and positive values among students.
Co-Curricular & Cultural Activities
- Organize and participate in cultural programs, debates, poetry recitals, and Sindhi literature events.
- Motivate students to take part in inter-school Sindhi language competitions.
- Celebrate Sindhi cultural days and integrate them into the school calendar.
Professional Development & Collaboration
- Participate in subject meetings, teacher training workshops, and curriculum reviews.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to improve Sindhi teaching standards.
- Stay updated with Karachi Board examination requirements and curriculum updates.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Sindhi, Literature, or Education (specialization in Sindhi preferred).
- Professional teaching certification/diploma (B.Ed./M.Ed. preferred).
- Strong command over Sindhi reading, writing, and spoken language.
- Good knowledge of Karachi Board Sindhi syllabus for secondary classes.
- Effective classroom management and lesson delivery skills.
- Ability to engage students and make lessons interactive.
- Strong communication skills (Sindhi, Urdu, and preferably English).
